The Temple of Divine Spirit is a is a solitary based Pagan Spiritualist Church. We are a non-profit religious organization, incorporated in R.I. in 2006. The Temple practices to the full capacity of any religious organization and seeks to provide spiritual education and services that promote peace, healing, comfort and spiritual fulfillment. We are a full service Pagan Spiritualist ministry officiating at weddings, funerals, pregnancy blessings, child blessings, coming of age/croning ceremonies and all other life events for solitary practitioners and those otherwise unaffiliated. We offer nondenominational Pagan, Wiccan, Tribal, and Christian ceremonies. We work with all who ask for our services to provide ceremonies with dignity, meaning and respect for the participant's personal beliefs. We offer a path to ordination for those who seek to be of service. We do not offer initiations into specific paths.
The Temple was founded in Rhode Island in 2005 by Rev. Mother Susan Breton Asselin, who became an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church in 2001. About Rev. Mother Susan
Reverend Mother Susan is assisted in her work by her acolyte Sister Jessica Zannini.
Our satellite temple is located in North Port, FL and Rev. Paul J. Valois krm is Pastor there and also Outreach Minister for the main Temple.

Our Beliefs and Practices
The Temple is founded upon the belief that religious tolerance will lead to peace among religions and world peace. Our core beliefs are animistic, finding Spirit in all of nature.
Our tenets of faith include that of an earth oriented religious church that follows the cycles of nature, acknowledges the different aspects of Divine Spirit and adheres to the Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.)
From our core Tradition we also believe that Divine Spirit is known by many names and comes in many forms, including both male and female.
We believe in spiritual healing, using Reiki, Witchcraft and Hoodoo, among other tools to heal mind, body and spirit.
We believe in Spirit contact, using mediumship, seances and other tools to connect with those who have passed.
We believe in honoring our ancestors, the interconnectedness of all creation, the continuous existence of the human soul, and the power of spiritual healing.
We also believe in the moral responsibility of human individuals and that eternal progress is open to every human soul.
We believe people have the right to choose how they are married and encourage couples to design their own wedding vows. We will work with each couple to ensure that their ceremony fully expresses how they feel about each other and what they promise each other. We believe love comes in many forms and perform nonlegal handfastings and commitment ceremonies for nontraditional relationships. We believe in doing that which is right - making decisions based upon the common good. We are against discrimination in any form. We do not deny the validity of other's beliefs. We are open to other paths to Divine Spirit.
Our clergy seek to be of service to those in need, both spiritual and physical need. We make sick visits to the seriously ill and dying, conduct nondenominational funerals and help grieving families create remembrance ceremonies. Rev. Mother Susan is a Spiritual Care volunteer with Home & Hospice of R.I. and a Reiki Master. Rev. Valois is a karuna Reiki Master. We embrace the folklore of our ancestors and proudly use the word Witch as it was originally meant - to indicate a Wise Woman or Man. We believe Spirit is present in all our magickal workings and use it to bring about positive change.
We believe Spirit is here to help us in our times of need, share in our times of joy, and is capable of bringing about miraculous change in our lives. Let us help you find your path to Spirit! Many times good people mess up their lives by acting upon the wrong thoughts. The power of right thinking is the key to peace & prosperity! What is right for you may not be right for the next person. We believe in honoring those who came before us. By honoring our ancestors, we reach out to our Spirit Guides, who help us along the path to enlightenment.

Private ceremonies are personally designed to honor your spirituality and belief system. Public ceremonies are eclectic,
